When TTS sounds unnatural, I look at the script before blaming the voice. Dense sentences, copied formatting, and unclear pauses are usually the first things to fix.
The script may be too dense
Unnatural audio often starts with writing that was never meant to be spoken. Rewrite dense paragraphs into shorter spoken sentences.
Punctuation may be missing
Without punctuation, the voice engine has fewer clues for pauses and emphasis. Add commas, periods, and paragraph breaks where a human speaker would pause.
The voice may not fit the topic
A cheerful style can feel strange for serious instructions. Try a neutral voice before assuming the engine is the problem.
Before you publish
- Simplify dense paragraphs
- Add natural punctuation
- Test a neutral voice
- Regenerate short sections instead of the whole file
Multilingual quick notes
A simple way to try it
Start with one short paragraph from your own project. If the sample sounds clear, keep that version of the script and then record the full MP3. It is much easier to fix one paragraph early than repair a long file at the end.
